Julie Zuckerberg: One Of NYC’s Top Recruiters

Julie Zuckerberg is a major professional recruiter that has worked for some of the top financial companies in Manhattan. Zuckerberg began her professional life working for the company Hudson in 2002. At Hudson Zuckerberg was employed as the Director of Candidate Placement. Some of Zuckerberg’s jobs included recruiting paralegals, support staff, and temporary employees for various corporations and law firms. In addition to recruitment, Zuckerberg had to keep in touch with all of her clients to ensure everything was working smoothly. On occasion, Zuckerberg had to assist with both conflict resolution and employee counseling. Zuckerberg worked for Hudson until the year 2007.

 

In October of 2007, Citi hired Zuckerberg to take over as the company’s Executive Recruiter for the Citi Global Functions division in NYC. A few of Zuckerberg’s duties on this job included providing executive level recruiting for senior level positions in areas such as compliance and legal. Zuckerberg also worked closely with the company’s diversity team to help ensure that people from various walks of life had an equal opportunity to apply for jobs at Citi. In 2011, Citi offered Zuckerberg a promotion to their Global Consumer Bank division as the Executive Recruiter. Here Zuckerberg was responsible for advising senior business leaders on effective recruiting strategies, sourcing global talent, and overseeing the recruitment for high level positions in CitiCards and the Citi Internet Office. Zuckerberg served in this prestigious role until 2013.

 

A new opportunity came Zuckerberg’s way in November of 2013 when New York Life Insurance hired her as both the company’s Corporate Vice President and an Experienced Hire Recruiting Lead. Working for New York Life Insurance taught Zuckerberg even more about professionalism in the recruiting industry. Zuckerberg worked with numerous important men and women in senior management positions to go over important information on various clients needs. She was also responsible for providing interesting and innovative ideas for business solutions. While Zuckerberg only served for four months on the New York Life Insurance team, she learned a great deal from the experience. Zuckerberg took all of her knowledge in recruiting to her current job as the US Talent Acquisition and Executive Recruitment Lead for Deutsche Bank’s New York headquarters.

 

Just a small sample of the numerous duties Zuckerberg is now responsible for include providing key information to executives on successful recruitment policies, organizing coaching sessions for recruiting teams, and helping to roll out various global and regional TA objectives to help increase diversity and employee mobility within the company.

 

Although Julie Zuckerberg is well known for her expertise in recruitment, she actually began her educational career as a philosophy major at City University of New York – Brooklyn College. After graduating with her Bachelor’s in philosophy, Zuckerberg went on to study law at the New York Law School. Besides her passion for recruitment, Zuckerberg has a broad range of other interests. Just a few causes Zuckerberg is concerned about include human rights, science and technology, the arts, and animal welfare. Zuckerberg is an official member of the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics, Recruiter.com, and Linked:HR, the last of which is operated by Metzano.
