Also, OSI Industries has recently acquired Flagship Food Group, Denver. Flagship Europe is a supplier of sous-vide products or products that are cooked in water. Pies, as well as mayonnaise, sauces, and dressings, are also produced, along with frozen chicken. OSI wants a broader presence in Europe that can confirm its status as a leading world provider of custom value-added food products. OSI has 65 facilities and 20,000 employed workers in 17 different countries that have a similar goal, which is to focus on making quality food products. OSI has a plant in Toledo, Spain, where they made improvements, which cost $17 million Euros. OSI Food Solutions, Spain wants the capacity to produce 45,000 tons of chicken, beef, and pork products on an annual basis. The local economy was boosted by adding 20 jobs, with the plant having 140 workers before the adding of a high-capacity producing line. The plant in Spain had 22,600 square feet of working space.
